Ziggurat PSA
Through this project I was able to experiment with Maya's MASH tool, which allows procedural effects on objects. The initial idea was to have actors - 3D modeled characters - play in the Ziggurat scene that serves as background to the PSA, but that did not happen. Still, the video presents an intro clip to a "Neo-Sumerian League" football match.
The Ziggurat of Ur
The 3D model of the Ziggurat of Ur is complete. Some of the gloss/metal textures were not compatible with Maya's materials under the new Arnold renderer.
I'm not fully convinced that the Arnold renderer is any better than good old Mental Ray, but the new renderer surprised me in a positive way through its flexible physical sun & sky.

Project #1 - Ziggurat of Ur (Intro)
To start off my Gaming & Animation Studio class, I will be modeling the Ziggurat of Ur, with the purpose of 3D printing it and make it a decorative/lighting piece. Basically, a tabletop Buddha fountain in the shape of a Sumerian high temple.
These are a couple of the ziggurat's depictions:
